Delia Smith

Associate

Delia is a long-time environmentalist who found landscape architecture after a successful career in high-tech. A 2014 graduate of Temple University's Master of Landscape Architecture program, Delia was number one in her class. She was also named a University Olmsted Scholar and received the PADE-ASLA Merit Award.

A 2012 US Forest Service Sustainability Science Fellow whose research identified certain native halophytes able to accumulate salt in their tissue, Delia extended her knowledge of coastal systems with her yearlong capstone project. This project focused on ways to adaptively reuse an industrially zoned waterfront site in New Jersey while restoring a 5-acre intertidal salt marsh on that site. Delia has been working with DWY since 2020.
